HR Project Manager - SMCR 
 
A reputable global asset management firm based in the City is currently looking to appoint an HR Project Manager for initial 12 month period to support the implementation of the Senior Manager and Certification Regime (“SMCR”). 
 
Responsibilities include:
  • A comprehensive review of the current HR Lifecycle/Operating Model and supporting the design and delivery of the HR work stream and implementation activities of SMCR in all HR practices and policies.
  • Ensuring that the business and HR operates in such a way as to adhere to SMCR requirements and key business procedures, and to comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Making suggestions of training for stakeholders in relation to the SMCR and work with the HR team to ensure strategy, governance and culture is aligned.
  • Working closely with Compliance to implement and track the Certification of employees
  • Working closely with all Senior Managers to ensure their Statement of Responsibilities and Role Profiles are up to date and recorded.
  • Producing status reports and take ownership of a tracking database
The candidate must have experience of the SMCR and supporting a business during the implementation phase.  Experience of HR policy and practices, and an understanding of the regulatory environment are essential for this position.  Strong operational HR experience and communication skills to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders are essential and a background in Asset Management would be beneficial.
