Role Overview

As the Head of Talent Acquisition you will manage a team of 13 who are responsible for talent acquisition from entry level to senior level recruitment and advise the business on how to double employee numbers within 2 years. This exciting role takes responsibility for the talent acquisition strategy of entry level roles, including the graduate schemes, recruitment of technology and management consultants and senior recruitment. You will build a hiring plan in collaboration and co-own that plan with hiring managers. You will lead a team who source and engage world-class IT professionals. You will have strategies for creating diverse talent pools and securing individuals who will be in high demand in many other organisations. 

Successful individuals will have significant experience of talent acquisition having worked in the industry themselves, ideally in the management consulting or the technology industry, they will have led successful teams, who recruit directly, headhunt and work with suppliers as required. You will manage supplier relationships in the UK but potentially in other locations as we grow. You are highly commercial and understand the business economics of a management consultancy.


  • Collaboratively build an ambitious but achievable hiring plan, working with multiple stakeholders responsible for demand and supply.
  • Create and deliver multi-channel resourcing strategy and plan.
  • Drive a commercially viable and innovative program for attracting a wide and diverse mix of talented candidates.
  • Manage and keep up to date, production of management information to meet the requirements of other operational areas and the UK Management Board.
  • Agree preferred supplier lists (PSLs) and manage the strategic partnerships with suppliers and agencies
  • Position the Company as an employer of choice and further define and improve the employee value proposition. 
  • Agree attraction strategies, working with marketing and the practices to support talent acquisition.
  • Acquire and present external market views and insight and feed into hiring and business strategy.
  • Accountable for the talent acquisition budget, monthly maintenance of this, as well as quarterly forecasting.
  • Coach and develop the Talent Acquisition team on best-in-class sourcing and acquisition methods in order to meet targets.
  • Manage the interaction with talent across all pipelines to ensure that we are consistent in positive interactions that reflect company vision and value.
  • Support the business with designing and delivering strategic initiatives that enhance our diversity and inclusion approach.
  • Continuous innovation in the field of talent acquisition ensuring the organisation has a robust and long-term delivery plan supported by a competitive presence in the required talent markets.
  • Proven candidate management skills. Capable of acting as a “head-hunter”.
  • A proven leader, able to inspire and engage with a diverse team.
  • Ensure all recruitment related work and systems complies with general data protection data regulation (GDPR).
  • Drive interaction with the business areas as specialists, ensuring hiring communities have the required level of competence for assessment and selection with access to required learning and development (L&D) resources.
  • Implement up to date assessment processes making use of online, face to face and collective assessment practices consistent with values and competencies.

Experience Required

  • Experienced in Talent Acquisition in Technology Consulting or Management Consultancy.
  • A driver, able to formulate and execute on a plan, driving and inspiring those around them to success.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills with a strong ability to multitask, attention to detail and work to tight deadlines.
  • Proven collaboration and stakeholder management skills. ability to engage with the hiring community as a ‘trusted advisor’ and develop effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrable track record of growing a business and leading a team to successful outcomes.
  • A leader of people who loves to grow and develop others, able to effectively delegate.
  • Flexibility to deal with changing priorities and tasks.
  • Open to occasional travel, predominately within the UK
  • Confident and collaborative with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Proficient in excel, highly numerate and logical.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, IR35, HR and relevant employment law issues.
