Purpose of the Role

The Chief People Office (CPO) is responsible for delivering a wide range of change initiatives to meet the needs of our clients, employees and global businesses. These can include global programmes that enhance the employee experience, drive diversity and inclusion and develop their culture, as well as regulatory initiatives, operational transformation programmes, and small scale enhancements that improve the way they operate.

The purpose of this HR Project role is to partner effectively with teams across CPO and to project manage a wide range of different initiatives that fall outside of the scope of large-scale technology programmes. This could mean managing a single large programme, or managing a portfolio of smaller initiatives to meet a particular strategic goal. It’s a varied and challenging role, and one that will make a real difference to CPO as well as to our clients employees and businesses.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project manage initiatives from the initial requirements gathering, impact assessment and solution design, through to delivery, embedding, and benefits realisation
  • Establish and facilitate appropriate and effective governance, including Steering Committees and Working Groups as required
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with project sponsors, delivery teams and other stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of change
  • Build relationships with CPO teams, CPO Technology, Process Simplification, Business Change and other delivery partners, both internal and external to the organisation, as required
  • Manage virtual project stakeholder teams across multiple locations and time zones as required
  • Proactively identify and manage risks; provide advice, guidance and insight on resolving issues; escalate as appropriate
  • Create and provide regular reporting on progress against plans to management, project sponsors and steering committees


Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Experience delivering typical HR change projects including cultural change initiatives, operational enhancements, regulatory programmes and the implementation of HR systems
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce excellent project reporting and presentations to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to use interpersonal skills to motivate or to manage conflicts
  • Can facilitate good governance and decision-making through steering committees or other appropriate channels
  • Organised; maintains clear project artefacts including plan and RAID log.
  • Ability to work under pressure or to tight deadlines
  • Experience of working with Workday, Cornerstone and Gloat, and of working with agile project methodologies would be advantageous
  • Competency with Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Teams and Jira
